Machine Mate Digital Read Outs are used on ram turret milling machines to overcome the effect of in accuracy arising out of table overhang. The complete digital read out system consists of a display device more popularly known as the counter and linear scales. Linear scales are position transducers that generate digital signals as they sense linear movement. These digital signals are counted by the precise electronics housed in the counter box and displayed as numeric position.
